From the Archive
One of the most renowned wines of Domaine Ramonet, Bâtard-Montrachet is produced from grapes grown in brown limestone soil that is heavy with clay. It is refined with beautiful acidity, and aromas of stone fruit and apple. We recommend serving this wine after it has aged for at least five to seven, or up to 20 years.
Fermentation: Vinification starts in tanks before the wine is transferred to French oak barrels. Stirring of the lees is done three to four times. Racking takes place after malolactic fermentation.
