Domaine Robert Groffier Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru Les Hauts-Doix | Fine Vines
The Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Hauts-Doix, one-third whole bunch and new oak, was not touched by the frost according to Nicolas Groffier. It has a very fragrant, almost Vosne-like bouquet that is beautifully defined and disarmingly pure. The palate is very well balanced with fine tannin, a succinct line of acidity, extremely pure like the aromatics with a silky smooth finish that is utterly seductive and as elegant as you will find this vineyard. Superb.
Taut and focused, with black cherry and blackberry flavors fused to the bracing structure. Lithe and long, this adds spice and stone notes on the chalky finish.
