This 2023 François Mikulski Meursault Les Meix Chavaux glistens with a light gold hue tinged with lime juice, offering an ethereally refined nose of fine herbs such as coriander and chervil, spring flowers, and hints of anise and lavender overlaying airy orchard fruits of white peach, pear and apple; the palate is precise yet intense, with white‑fruit coulis mingled with delicate green and white pepper, juniper, clove and liquorice, all framed by vivid minerality and consummate balance. At once charming and structured this is a wine built for both immediate grace and long‑term unfolding.

From the Archive

Issued from Meix Chavaux parcels, certain vintages of this wine are vinified separately and others are blended with the Meursault cuvée

The grape variety is 100% Chardonnay. Annual production: about 800 bottles. The sub-soil is made of rock plates.

This wine is ideal when matched with warm shellfish, fish or white meat preferably with butter or cream sauce (chicken with cream and morel mushrooms, scallops, hot oysters, etc …)

Ideally a Meursault is a wine to be consumed after ageing between 5 and 10 years. When mature, its palate and nose are explosive with a whole range of aromas being revealed: honey, exotic fruits, butter, hazelnut, grilled almonds, and yellow fruits.
