A .7ha parcel on the right side of the Serein River. A complex wine, striking a keen balance between mineral aromas and explosive flavours on the palate. Capable of being the best of the Chablis Grands Crus it is one of the most respected and offers exceptional ageing capacity. 100% hand-harvested. Static settling. All fermentations done in stainless steel tanks and 40% matured in oak barrels for 20 months.

Terroir: Lime-clay soils are dominant here, but the geological originality of appellation Chablis resides in its sub-strata, often quite near the surface, of kimmeridgean limestone, formed by billions of tiny fossilised oyster shells called ostrea virgule.
