From the Archive

Domaine Bruno Clair is the owner of approximately 11 hectares - 27.18 acres, on the Marsannay commune.

The soils of Marsannay are unfortunately little known worldwide and the wines too often underestimated. Because the commune does not have the prestige of its famous neighbours in the south, the wines of Marsannay are often drunk too young. Our soils give rather tannic and well-structured red wines. Waiting for 3 to 8 years according to the vintage often proves essential to maximize the qualitative potential of the wine and your pleasure.

The soil of les Vaudenelles, 1,58 ha - 3.90 acres, is located at the top of the slope; the soil is poor because of the levelling bedrock. It produces a Marsannay that is fine and elegant. Its color is slightly lighter than that of its peers. The wine always has good aromas, is supple and easy to drink. Marsannay-Vaudenelles wines need 3 to 5 years of cellaring to reach their peak.
