Domaine Bruno Clair Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Clos du Fonteny Monopole | Fine Vines
Monopoly of the Domaine Bruno Clair, this plot is located in the upper part of the "climate" les Fontenys and in the continuity of the great vintages of Gevrey-Chambertin, close to the les Ruchottes-Chambertin. Half was planted in 1972 and the other half in 1987. The relatively poor soil is composed of white clay as opposed to red clay at the bottom of Chambertin. The calcareous rock is definitely present in the surface and brings finesse and elegance to this wine from a village known for the power of its wines.
