From the Archive
Chapelle-Chambertin is considered one of the sturdiest and richest Gevrey's Grand Crus, in turn the more masculine Burgundy's village. Damoy, with his organic production style, owns the largest slice of it. Slow to open up, it gradually releases a deep scents bouquet made of cherry dipped in chocolate, blackberry, undergrowth and tar, dark cocoa bitter orange. Ripe, chewy yet juicy, silky yet viscous, great balance and alive tannin, blueberry's acidity, remind of orange, long and complex bitter finale. Top.
