The Bergerac region is located just East of Bordeaux. Wine maker and proprietor Daniel Hecquet, owns 45 Hectares in the Appellation’s best district and is one of the region’s best and most innovative producer. He is known throughout the greater Bordeaux region for crafting among the highest quality and freshest wines in the appellation. He also consults as an enologist for top Chateaux.
Viticultural practices: Higher density (7500 vines/ hectare), hillside plantation, the grapes for Haut-Sarthes Rosé come from the same parcels every vintage.
Tasting Notes: Deliciously refreshing dry rosé showing great balance between fruit and acidity. The aromas and flavors reveal precise and expressive notes of red berries and cantaloupe, the finish is clean and delicately mineral. The 2017 is particularly fresh, fruity and expressive, due to the perfect harvest conditions for the vintage.
