A dense and refined 2019 Bordeaux‐style red from Calluna’s Chalk Hill estate, its poise emerging from the blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot showing both muscle and grace. Aromas of cassis, black cherry, cigar wrapper and soil rise on the nose and are framed by discreet new oak. The palate is focused with a pure core of fruit, fine balance and ripe tannins leading to a long layered finish.
